About Me

Showreel

I am a 22-year-old, non-binary, neurodivergent, professional actor based in the UK who lives in Leeds. I have just completed a Drama and Contemporary Performance degree from Manchester Metropolitan University with a 2:1. Skills include theatre, screen acting, improvisation, dance and movement work. Proficiency in ballet, singing and pole-dance. Theatre, music, and dance fuelled a passion for performance my whole life and it's the physical and creative side of the arts that I'm particularly interested in. Throughout my time creating and devising work in a professional setting on my course, at the Manchester School of Theatre, and through opportunities found outside of university I have been able to explore many different aspects of the creative world. Discovering a love for working on a film set as part of a well-oiled team to more intimate performances where my physical ability was pushed to its limits and connecting with the body and mind became a constant meaningful part of my practice throughout my degree and something I have always been interested in, most likely stemming from being a dancer. I love to push myself and my body to its full potential, trying as much as I can to learn and find new skills I can take forward through my career, such as pole dancing, ballet and tap, and musicianship. Recently I have had the opportunity to start performing with a theatre troop called Carnifolk, this opportunity has broadened my horizons on the different styles of theatre and performance and allowed me to expand and elevate my improvisational skills as well as world and character building. It has been a unique and overwhelmingly positive opportunity to see the world we create as actors come to life and see audience members living in these moments and embracing the joy they bring. My queer identity, being non-binary and pansexual, is an important part of my life and I like to incorporate those themes into my work, blurring gender lines and opposing stereotypes in theatre and on screen has allowed me to feel more comfortable in my own identity and how I personally choose to express myself. Being neurodivergent has also played a big part in my life as it has led to some obstacles and struggles along the way but having acting as a constant part of my life has allowed me to centre myself and gain more control and understanding of how the creative world can help me.
